Building faithful community together

"Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him." -- Psalm 127:3 NLT

Faith's Youth ministry is where middle school students, high school students, and adult leaders come together to grow in faith, fellowship, and relationships that matter.  We build those relationships by building faithful community together and deepening our relationships with God and with one another. To accomplish this we focus on things like:

  • Building relationships that encourage honest and open communication
  • Opportunities to serve the younger children, the church, and the community
  • Worship, music, Bible study, outdoor ministry opportunities, movie night, crafts and events

Groups

God Squad

God Squad is the youth group for 6th-12th graders. We focus on building relationships in order to create a meaningful space where we can feel comfortable talking about our relationship with God and grow in a fun and inviting environment. Join us for our next event and bring a friend!
For any God Squad questions, please contact Pastor Nick.

Mission: The mission for God SQD is to foster relationships with God and one another while also sharing a Christ-like love with the community.

Theme: Over the summer we focus on our outdoor ministry! (Archery, s'mores/pizza over the campfire, fishing, drive-in movie night, and our summer service event.) We connect each event with a Christian theme.

Confirmation

Confirmation is a 2-year program that starts in 7th grade. The class begins in the Fall each year.  The first year is a Biblical study that helps young people engage their faith and better understand the stories of the Bible. They will meet once every other month. The second year of the program is a focus on what Lutheranism is all about. They will meet once a month and have several service components built in. The program will be offered in person as well as online. For more information, contact Pastor Nick.

Music

Youth who love music (or want to learn to) are invited to join one of our choirs. Struck by Faith Choir (6th-12th grades) rehearses Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Register for Struck by Faith Choir

High School students can also join the Adult Choir and the Bell Choir. Adult choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 pm. Bell Choir rehearses Sundays from 12:15-1:45 pm. See the Serve page for more info.

Mission Opportunities

Mission and Outreach opportunities are ways for our students to think and act beyond themselves and to build/grow Relationships That Matter!

Every summer, Faith students do a special week-long mission project or take a special trip.  The focus is to teach practical service skills and deepen relationship bonds.

2018 SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDED:

  • High school students went to the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering in Houston, TX.  It was a national gathering of high school students. For most students this is a once in a lifetime event ~ happens every 3 years.

Outreach Opportunities

Contact Faith for information on any of these opportunities.
