I studied Marketing and Event management in Wisconsin, right after I finished High School. After moving to Texas I decided to study Audio production because music production and audio engineering are also another passion of mine. My journey at Faith Lutheran Church started when I got hired as an audio engineer, time went by and this church started to feel like home. Finally, God opened another door for me, and that’s how I ended it up back to the Marketing field, and I gladly took that opportunity and went for it and I am so thankful.

Life verse: Proverbs 10:4

Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Raymond Kimbrell

I have been a mission partner for over 10 years and we love worshiping at Faith.  My family and I have found a wonderful Church family and we are committed to the mission and ministries of Faith, spreading the great news of Jesus Christ.  Focus your thoughts, Love God – Love People!

Life Passage: Philippians 4:8

From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise.

Ransom Alexander

Council Vice President

I moved to Texas 5 years ago for work. I joined Faith after a diligent search for a new church home. I chose Faith because of the welcoming environment and sermons that have “meat” for life centered on the Bible. I quickly learned that life is all about “relationships that matter”. I am privileged to have served Faith for the past few years on council, Sunday morning volunteer roles and a few events such as the tailgate and Trunks for Treats and I look forward to serving Faith in the new role.

Life Passage: 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

My wife and I now help lead the Young Family small group at Faith and participate in many roles throughout the church. Our two young boys attend Faith Lutheran Day School. Faith feels like home to our family and we are thankful for all of the love shown to our family each and every day.

Kayla Elder

I started attending Faith in 2009 when I was a Freshman in High School.  I served in the Faith Kids ministry back when it was Reach Kids, but participating on the council is the first real service commitment as an adult. I’m excited to be a resource for the church and our community as an at- large member on the council.

I’m Pia Owens, one of your 2022-2023 At-Large Council Members. My husband Ben and I have grown and served as Mission Partners in this faithful congregation since 2010. Faith is our church home because of the message that God’s grace and hope are for all, and “all means all!” That no matter who you are, you are welcome here. This truth is what I want my three children to grow up around. Currently, I enjoy serving on the council, in the Faith Kids ministry, and as a Communion Assistant.

Kim Armstrong

Council Member-At-Large

I started attending Faith during Holy Week of 2017. I knew from my first visit that Faith would be my church home. I was touched by the warm welcome I received, and statements Pastor Rusty made - “It’s all about relationships” and “You don’t have to do everything, but everyone needs to do something”. The ministries I’m a part of are Women of Faith Bible Study, Refreshment Team, Altar Guild, serve on church council, and soon will be joining the choir for special services.

Life Passage: Isaiah 41:28-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
